Technical Specifications
Pirouz Crawler Dolly is a compact camera movement system. The main idea behind this system is simple: it combines a friction tilt head with tracking wheels that are directly attached to it, forming an integrated and very low-profile system for camera movement.
Due to its small size and lightweight design, the SKATER® Mini allows the operator to control the camera manually and move it in any direction. This system is particularly suitable for curved and circular movements, where the user can precisely define the center of rotation and the movement radius. As a result, complex movements such as orbiting around a subject or smoothly moving into a product shot can be performed easily.
In many cases, shots that would normally require complex motion control systems or advanced rigging can be executed with minimal setup time using this system. This leads to increased speed and flexibility on set.
The design concept of the SKATER® Mini is based on integrating the camera head and dolly into a single unit rather than keeping them as separate components. This results in a very low overall height, similar to a simple rocker plate, while still maintaining full movement control.
