The Pirouz 1-90 Pedestal is designed for modern broadcast cameras and is suitable for both OB (outside broadcast) and studio production environments. Its compact and modular structure provides a strong balance between high stability and relatively low overall weight, making it a practical solution for professional camera operations.

The pedestal features a highly user-friendly design, incorporating a Vario dolly system and a Quickfix mounting interface, enabling fast and tool-free setup without the need for screws. This significantly improves workflow efficiency in fast-paced production scenarios.

Its modular construction allows the steering assembly, central column, and dolly to be separated into three lightweight and portable components. These units can be assembled in seconds without the use of tools, ensuring quick deployment and easy transportation.

The crab-and-steer mechanism provides precise maneuverability with controlled rolling motion, making it easy to perform smooth tracking movements. A compact steering wheel is included and is also compatible with teleprompter setups, enhancing its versatility in studio environments.

The pedestal is equipped with a Quickfix system, combining a column lock and a secure mounting interface for rapid fluid head changes. This reduces setup time and increases operational flexibility during multi-camera or multi-setup productions.

For pneumatic support, the system includes an air charging mechanism with pressure relief valves, ensuring safe and controlled pressure adjustment. Air charging can be performed using either a hand pump or a compressor, reducing operational costs compared to traditional fluid pneumatic systems.
